New surgical tool coming soon!

  VECTRA® for Plastic Surgery consultations
Are you interested in cosmetic surgery but having difficulty imagining your results?

Advanced Aesthetics & Plastic Surgery will soon be offering a new three-dimensional photo session for Plastic Surgery consultations. A VECTRA 3D session allows your plastic surgeon to help you see your anticipated surgery results with a three-dimensional image of yourself.

Using special simulation software on your 3D photo, your physician can show you the possible results of aesthetic procedures that interest you. You'll be able to experiment with different looks until you find the appearance you want. This 3D technology is particularly useful if you are interested in rhinoplasty and breast surgery (augmentation, lift, reduction and reconstruction).

Check sculptmydream.com for a video about this imaging process and stay tuned for information about when this new service will be available for our clients.

Beauty expert recommendations

Jennifer Walsh discusses how to keep skin healthy and moisturized during the harsh winter months on Better TV (nationally syndicated programming).

QUOTE: "[SkinCeuticals Eye Balm] is very emollient but it's not greasy. I love that it absorbs very very quickly and doesn't leave a sheen around the eyes. Doctors actually use this and recommend this for their patients, so people really go toward this because it's doctor recommended. It's also great for the puffiness, dryness and dark circles, all locked into one–we love that!"

Monday through Friday: 8 am to 5 pm
Open until 7 pm every Thursday
Open 9 am to 1 pm on second Saturday of every month.

It is unbelievable that another year has now passed and 2012 has arrived. The old saying is true, the older we get the faster time passes.

The arrival of the New Year often brings the arrival of New Year's resolutions. Many will wonder if there is any added value in creating New Years resolutions. I believe there is great value in creating resolutions if you create them with self-compassion and self-love. Be kind to yourself.

New Year's is a time to reflect on the past and plan for the future. It is an annual opportunity to evaluate our mind, body and soul and make changes for the better based on our past experiences and our hopes for the future.

Resolutions should not be viewed as daunting unbreakable promises to ourselves, but as positive statements of self encouragement. A successful resolution should have a long term goal with measurable short term action items to ensure success. By taking a resolution a day at a time, you are much more likely to reach your desired outcome in the upcoming year.

New Year's resolutions provide us with an opportunity to reinvent ourselves by making a commitment to change for the better. If your resolution for the upcoming year is to create a healthy skin care plan, the staff of Advanced Aesthetics & Plastic Surgery can assist you with all your needs. Your needs may be as simple as a basic skin care regimen or may involve removing past skin damage such as pigmentation and wrinkles caused by the sun's harmful rays. Take advantage of our 20% discount on all light-based procedures this month. It's a great way to set a short term goal for any long term skin care resolution.

If your resolution involves more drastic changes, the hibernating months of winter are the perfect time to address varicose and spider veins or to consult about plastic surgery procedures. Our venous disease specialist, board certified phlebologist and vascular surgeon Jack Shellito, MD, is available for consultations and treatments that are performed in office and routinely covered by all insurance plans. Our board certified plastic surgeons, Dr. Kenton Schoonover and Dr. Richard DeSplinter are also available for consults to discuss any issues and concerns you may have.

We are proud of our ability to meet the individual needs of all our patients with specific products and services. Remember, the aestheticians of Advanced Aesthetics offer free skin care consults to analyze your skin and make product recommendations. The physicians and staff of Advanced Aesthetics & Plastic Surgery strongly believe that at Advanced Aesthetics science is a promise and beauty is an art. Call today for additional information or to schedule the services, procedures or treatment that benefit you.

Finally, as mentioned in our September newsletter, we have been making our transition to our new name and new Via Christi look, which you may have already seen in print. We are planning on going live with the new look on the website in January and with our February newsletter. We hope you like it!

Please, be kind to yourself and practice self love. The physicians and staff of Advanced Aesthetics & Plastic Surgery wish you lots of love in 2012. May the holidays refresh your spirit and bestow upon you new inspiration, love, peace, prosperity, happiness and good health in the New Year.
